Sekolah Citra Kasih Semarang

Bored piling foundations for the new Sekolah Citra Kasih campus at Citra Grand, Semarang. We built 30 bored piles Ø 600 mm with effective lengths varying from 3.5 to 11 metres, following the depth to firm ground at each point.

The initial soil investigation described sandy silt with gravel. During drilling the ground proved different: boulders were present from shallow depth down into the silty sand below. The discrepancy was recorded and reported to the design consultant, and adjustments were made on site.

Concrete at fc’ 30 MPa was compression tested at 7, 14 and 28 days, with the 28-day test carried out by an independent laboratory. Three test piles were checked by PDA and tension testing at 200% of design load. Every pile carries its own piling record.
